The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax help for low to moderate-income persons who cannot prepare their own tax returns. (generally, $65,000 and below) Certified volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. The Aging & Disability Resource Center at the Quincy Senior & Family Resource Center is a VITA in Quincy. They also serve Brown, Calhoun, Hancock, Pike, & Schuyler counties on certain days.
